What happens when your car’s Mass Air Flow Sensor is contaminated?
You probably may not notice it but have already experienced it first hand when your car engine idles roughly or suddenly stalls. A contaminated Mass Air Flow Sensor will send the wrong airflow information to the engine’s computer. The computer will miscalculate the amount of airflow due to the lack of information and deliver too little fuel, making the idle rough and stalling out the engine at times.
